Course Index & Jazz Standard Pages
In this video, you’ll learn how to access the course index pages, use the jazz standard index, and search for specific topics or your favourite jazz standards.
Understanding how to efficiently search and filter lessons will help you build a structured practice routine and quickly locate the jazz piano lessons that match your goals.
Accessing The Course Index Pages
From the Pro Member Dashboard, you can click “View All Courses” to access the full course index. This page contains the complete PianoGroove course library.
You can also access the course index by hovering over the "Lessons" tab in the top navigation bar. From there, you’ll see:
- Jazz Piano Lessons
- Blues Piano Lessons
- Brazilian Piano Lessons
Each genre page is organised into difficulty tabs, allowing you to progressively move from foundational jazz piano concepts to more advanced harmony and improvisation techniques.
Dashboard Quick Search Links
Using The “What Would You Like To Study Today?” Section on the dashboard, you’ll find two quick-access filters:
- Jazz Standards
- Styles & Techniques
If you click on Jazz Standards, you’ll see a curated list of commonly studied tunes. For example, selecting *"Georgia on My Mind" will take you to a search results page that includes full courses, individual lessons, seminars and workshops, and related theory studies.
The Jazz Standard Index Page
The Jazz Standard Index Page is one of the most useful resources for students. This page lists every jazz standard covered on the site and allows you to view the tunes by difficulty level and see the teacher presenting the lesson.
Click directly on the lesson name to access the full tutorial containing the tune. If you joined PianoGroove to learn a specific tune, this is the fastest way to find it.
Using The Website Search Function
In the top-right corner of every page, you’ll find the search icon. This is ideal for locating specific jazz piano topics or specific jazz standards that you are interested in.
You can refine your search directly from the results page to quickly narrow your focus. This feature is especially helpful if you are targeting a specific theory concept or working on a tune and want to explore related harmonic ideas.
