I’ll Be Home For Christmas Piano Tutorial

Welcome to this lesson on “I’ll Be Home For Christmas”.

"I’ll Be Home For Christmas" is a nice simple Christmas ballad with a repetitive melody and straight forward chord changes. The tune follows an ABAC form and we are playing in the key of C Major.

We’re going to jump straight in with some 2 handed voicings and apply our knowledge of extended and altered harmony. We will also create a intro and outro for the arrangement.

Diminished 7th chords are not as common as major, minor and dominant chords and so you don’t see them as often in jazz standards.
